The fervor of the Olympics may have subsided, but Paris continues to bask in a festive mood as it welcomes yet another significant event. During the annual ‘Maison&Objet’, the world’s largest design fair held every September, the city comes alive with a series of captivating exhibitions, further enhancing its allure as a hub of art. This year, in the city of Paris, which has garnered the most global attention, the Korea Craft and Design Foundation proudly presents 〈Korean Aesthetic〉 exhibition in collaboration with the world-renowned lifestyle brand LIAIGRE. For years, the Korea Craft and Design Foundation has hosted various exhibitions and events in Paris to promote Korean crafts on the international stage. This year’s exhibition is particularly noteworthy, being the first collaboration with the prestigious French luxur y brand LIAIGRE. The exhibition features a carefully curated selection of works by award-winning artisans and internationally recognized pieces, offering the French audience a richer understanding of Korean aesthetics. I hope this exhibition will open new horizons for Korean crafts in France, bringing fresh perspectives and modern interpretations to life. I deeply appreciate the 16 artisans whose contributions made this event possible. My sincere thanks also go to LIAIGRE for graciously joining us in this historic first collaboration. The Korea Craft and Design Foundation remains committed to promoting Korean craftsmanship on the global stage. We look forward to continuing our journey together with the talented artisans of our time, elevating the presence of Korean crafts worldwide.
